Hello again, this is Amanda Delgado with Evans Cool Solutions. June weather shows that this summer is going to be a hot one. Arizona has already experienced their first rainfall last weekend. Often times, at Evans Cool Solutions we offer tips to keep your air conditioner healthy while keeping our bodies cool and comfortable. One way to do this is to get your air conditioner prepared for the summer months with our Wellness Checks. Our expert technicians have also told you about the importance of changing your filters. Recent blogs have spoken about programmable, energy efficient thermostats. These smart thermostats can help you experience lower electric bills and help our customers control their ac temperatures through the use of cell phone apps.
So now that we are on the topic of thermostats, let me share with you another pro-tip I have learned. Customers have called and asked me about how to set an ideal indoor temperature. I did some research and learned that the ideal temperature to set temperatures for Arizona is 78 degrees. Setting your thermostat to 78 degrees is the most cost-effective way to save money on your energy bill. It is the healthiest temperature for your air conditioning unit because it protects your air conditioning from working too hard preventing it from wear and tear. I know a lot of us are thinking, wait a second 78 degrees is still hot. However, we must also consider humidity as a factor. The Department of Energy says our goal temperature should be somewhere between 78-72 degrees. Obviously, 72 degrees does not help us save energy and makes our air conditioners work extremely hard. It is best to find the right balance for you and how your body reacts to humidity. So in short, there is no right or wrong answer or magic number. Consider what feels good to your body, your pocket and your air conditioning unit. If you are in doubt, give Evans Cool Solutions a call. We are always happy to help!
Here is another thing to consider. Did you know that the temperature and humidity of your home can also affect your furniture and integrity of your home inside and out. Humidity and temperature can cause decay like wood rot and mold. The glue of your furniture can melt. Humidity contains and utilizes energy so a ceiling fan can act as a best friend to your air conditioning unit. It will help circulate air and let your air conditioner breathe a sigh of relief and extend the life of your air conditioning unit.
In conclusion, BE COOL with us and let Evans Cool Solutions help keep you cool all summer long. We are a phone call away and just what the doctor ordered for the health of your air conditioning unit. We are open Monday through Friday from 8:00am-4:00 pm. Give me, Amanda Delgado a call at (520)358-2886. I would love to get you on the schedule and look forward to seeing you soon.
